    Education: I design and execute nature and science programming for children and adults. I connect lesson plans to current science standards and cultivate Citizen Science programs for public engagement. I manage the content of educational signage regarding resident animals and outdoor habitats. Bird of Prey Training: I organize training for several birds of prey, and directly train a red-tailed hawk, a great-horned owl, and a bald eagle for education programs. Grounds: I maintain 3 miles of trails for the ease of Earthplace visitors. I participate in a Grounds Committee to plan and implement techniques for invasive species removal and native plant restoration. I propagate native plant species to disseminate into the larger Fairfield County community. I created a deer exclosure project that will document an area inaccessible to deer and compare to a similar area overbrowsed by deer to demonstrate the importance of a growing forest understory.Supervision: I oversee the daily direct care of resident animals done by two Animal Care Technicians, and coordinate a team of volunteers and interns for animal care and trail maintenance.Strategy: I engage as a member of the Strategy Action Committee to make Earthplace's vision and mission a reality.
