Hi, I'm a Year 12 student that has just finished my GCSEs and I am currently taking Politics, History, English Lit and Sociology at A-Level. I am someone who is very passionate about Law and Politics. I'm looking for any work experience around the London area or any experiences that help further boost any skills. I am always hardworking and friendly and is someone who is described as always willing to help with a smile on my face. I enjoy partaking in extra-curricular activities whether that be through a personal route such as dance workshops or learning instruments, or through a more academic route such as events like Thurrock's Next Top Boss, or gaining a qualification in Leadership and Management, or even being part of the Justice and Peace group in my school. From these experiences I have gained knowledge in my leadership skills through being team leader in Next Top Boss which lead to 2nd place out of all the schools in the borough, to being team leader in the Leadership and Management programme where I gained a distinction, and the only one to do so out of our school cohort of 15. As part of enhancing my skills, I have participated in a few public speaking workshops under the Jack Petchy foundation such as the Speak Out challenge and Talk about the Future. My interest in Politics and Law started from an early age and was mainly revolving around Scottish politics. I would often attend Scottish Parliament for First Minister questions and constantly keep up with Parliamentary news. I believe that we can't try to help to change the world into a better society without first truly understanding or gaining as much knowledge as we can about its current problems and state, hence why I am so deep rooted in furthering my understanding about the politics of today. Growing up I realised that not everyone around me had the same interests in society as I did, with peers doing their English Speaking Endorsement about their favourite film or food whilst I found myself presenting about Scottish Independence and the effects of it. I enjoy to read in my spare time, constantly loosing myself in alternate realities while learning new skills through reading and applying the various writing styles and techniques in everyday life. Whether this be through writing articles for the schools newsletter, or in my studies or even writing letters or emails.
