I spent the year rotating through both primary care and specialty clinics. I assisted in precepting multiple students throughout the year and served as a primary preceptor to a Butler University student in the spring. I also served as an adjunct clinical professor of pharmacy practice at Butler University. I taught a case conference section one day each week to a group of 17 students. I also be lectured in self-care class for student pharmacists. I also had the opportunity to lecture to dental and physician assistant students. In addition to my residency program responsibilities, I served as the chief pharmacy resident.

I rotated through a variety of inpatient and outpatient experiences, including internal medicine, SICU, MICU, ambulatory care, medication safety, administration, pharmacy operations, and endocrinology. I lectured to both Purdue University nursing students and student pharmacists. I also had the opportunity to lecture in the IUPUI physial therapy program to students in their pharmacology course.

I served as one of five members of the APhA-ASP Executive Committee, representing 32,000 student pharmacists within the United States and Puerto Rico. The mission of APhA-ASP is to serve as the collective voice of student pharmacists, provide opportunities for professional growth, improve patient care, and to envision and advance the future of pharmacy. As Speaker of the House, I served as chair of the APhA-ASP Resolutions Committee and APhA-ASP Reference Committee. During the APhA Annual Meeting & Exposition, I presided over the two house of delegates sessions. I have traveled across the country to assist student pharmacists in being leaders of our profession. It was an honor to empower student pharmacists to change our future profession today and become agents of change.
