I dealt with client enquiries, working with clients from initial enquiry meetings, site visits, preparation of proposals and contracts and thereafter co-ordinating and implementing all necessary arrangements through to the conclusion of the event. In conjunction with departmental heads, I organised the planning, both internal and external, for conferences and other events, ensuring pre-event checks were carried out with the client and supplying the client with accurate event schedules on or before arrival. The position also required me to liaise with supporting departments as well as volunteers to confirm all arrangements had been made and any last minute alterations were communicated to avoid complications and damage to conservation on property. I set up and implement departmental booking procedures,operations meetings and monthly time tables which I communicated with all departments. I ensured that terms and conditions were properly contracted through redrafted contacts and created a mandatory supplier list which supported local businesses, while providing an income stream for the National Trust through a 5% levy, and protected both clients and the National trust from unexpected outcomes. All suppliers were vetted through introductory meetings to ensure they were sensitive to a conservation property. I designed and created a wedding brochure to further promote the facilities and updated the website, redrafting and clarifying content and refreshing the appearance with eye-catching photos sourced from local photographers. At key times of year, I would market the venue and drive business forward through local magazine advertising and signed up to a 2 year deal in the county council ceremony guide, further widening the net to potential clients. A part of my role was to regularly duty manage the whole property. This meant I was in charge of fire evacuation, lost child procedure, first aid incidents, visitor experience and securing the property at the end of the day.
