• Managed studies and resources for the development of an protein subunit vaccine for the prevention of Enterotoxigenic E. Coli (ETEC) at the Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC), including leading team members to develop project plans; monitoring, tracking and reporting of information; measuring and improving management processes and systems; and providing resolutions to senior officials on issues• Led the generation of a $26M proposal that would incorporate the current vaccine candidate into a multivalent formulation through Phase III clinical trials. The proposal included GMP process development and manufacturing, multiple preclinical studies, GLP toxicology studies, and Phase I/IIb/III clinical trials, to be executed over 10 years in partnership with a large non-profit foundation and pharmaceutical company • Managed over $15M in resources for multiple study sites and funding sources, including government and non-profit grants, as well as cooperative research agreements from private corporations. Developed the budget for grants totaling an additional $1.5M in funding from these partners, allowing our program to expand while many others are shrinking due to federal budget reductions.
