Lead and directed commission sales payroll teams’ day to day activities and projects. Performance reviews and management of work efforts. Implemented a new Commission system (InsPro). Created the communication and project plan for the issues that arose. Analyzed and reported on total policies, agents and commission dollar amounts affected per issue. Developed controls for our new payroll process along with a per-payroll audit checklist and a monthly report of the budget versus what was paid. This monthly report is reviewed by the Senior Director of financial planning.

Lead and direct HR Operations staff in completing payroll tasks and reports. Assist HR Operations Manager with HR outsourced vendor management. Routinely monitor and follow up with vendor on service levels. Responsible for overseeing payroll for staff (800) and commission employees (200). Meet all deadlines and ensure all payrolls are reconciled and funded. Payrolls included 3 different pay groups with different pay schedules: a weekly, bi-weekly and a semi-monthly payment. Act as subject matter expert for HR Operations. Responds to written and verbal inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources for the purpose of resolving problems, providing information and/or referring to appropriate personnel. Coordinate with vendor regarding changes to policies, programs, tax regulations, employment law updates, etc. Maintain, update, and audit employee data. Responsible for making changes to employee records and set up of new employees. Reporting on regularly scheduled and on an ad hoc basis as the business needed. Reports included ICG Benchmark Survey, Census, State tax reporting, HR Dashboard and Workers Comp. Managed the HR audits including KPMG external audit, OIG-GSA, MARSOX and SOC. Performance reviews and objective setting for the payroll team. Gave training on HR systems to the business for the time keeping system and to my peers for the HRIS Payforce reporting module. Configured the time keeping system as needed, for example adding a new employee type, or schedule type, and updating the Holiday schedule and amount of hour given for each.

Responsible for running the bi-weekly staff payroll. Run timecard files to submit to payroll vendor (ADP). Complete generation, reconciliation and funding. Maintain, update and audit employee data in multiply HRIS systems. Responsible for completing employee change requests as well as entering new hires and terminations. Ensure the payroll vendor has correct tax information for employees nationwide Keep companies’ multi-state tax jurisdictions accurate and updated Complete monthly, quarterly and year end HR reporting and ad hoc requests Act as a front line for Employee questions and interactions via phone, email and in person Answer employment verifications through verbal and written requests. Payroll communications such as “Use it or Lose it, Personal Time” at year end, an email to remind employees to approve the timecards before Holidays and notifying Managers of miss punches in the time keeping system for their direct reports. Maintained the Companies’ Org chart.
