CurrentAs manager of the news and social media office I'm responsible for videos, news releases and social media campaigns that keep the world engaged with NASA space missions studying Earth, the planets, asteroids, comets, stars and galaxies. Through social media we reach over 21 million followers across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and more. In 2013, we took home two Webby Awards and the SXSW Interactive Award for our @MarsCuriosity rover campaign.My work has been featured in the NY Times, ABC, NBC, Mashable, CNET and others. I created NASA's first accounts on Twitter followed by NASA's first "Tweetup" & Ustream channels. I've guest blogged for Gizmodo, served as panelist/moderator at SXSW (2010-2015) and have been an invited speaker to address national and international conferences, businesses and organizations ranging from Warner Bros. to NATO. In 2010, Forbes.com listed me as one of 20 Inspiring Women to Follow on Twitter. In 2012, Mashable.com included me on their list of 15 Twitter Accounts Every Space Lover Should Follow. Prior to joining NASA-JPL, I worked at CNN focusing on technology, the environment and space coverage.
