I am an environmental chemist with a focus in marine chemistry/chemical oceanography. During my undergraduate and graduate careers I developed skills in both the field and in the lab. I know how to design and implement field experiments and field sampling in order to gather data for various trace metal and nutrient contaminants of interest. I am confident in my ability to independently analyze environment samples for various analytes of interest utilizing complex analytical instrumentation. Once I have analyzed the samples I am able to compile the data into charts, graphs, and written reports in order to convey the results of complex datasets. Some of the projects I completed, or assisted with, have been published in scientific journals. I am able to observe, understand, and explain complex correlations from various datasets. My experience throughout my college and professional careers has made me comfortable with independent critical-thinking, and troubleshooting in the field and in the lab. I am an Environmental Analyst at the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. I am interested in environmental research that will help to make the environment a safer and healthier place.
