I have also been involved in the organisation of events/exhibitions, participated actively in events and exhibitions, assisted and worked closely with curators and conservationists as well. Furthermore, I worked (and later managed the second phase) of an audit process of the art collection of the National Museum Foundation in Caracas, Venezuela, which required a complete assessment and cataloguing of the art collections of the entire foundation.This meant cataloguing bodies of work, registering and archiving said work. The biggest I did was the painting vault at the National Art Gallery with around 3000 paintings (basically the audit process ), and the second phase of the project (which I was a manager of) consisted in the categorising, archiving, number coding and digitising of around 7000 pieces of photographic material (negatives and slides ). This was done for the National Photography Museum with a collection that had been in storage since the 1950’s and 60’s. So we had to work closely with the conservation department in order to not harm the material and subsequently build proper casings and boxes to be stored for posterity. The digital files were also stored and backed up properly for the future. This is could be explained in further detail if need be.I left this experience with big organisational skills, time management, group management and leadership.
