Veronica has worked directly with destination marketing offices of Mexico to increase their Canadian market share. From 2005 to 2010 she managed a public relations program for the Mexico Tourism Board in Canada, including one year as regional supervisor in this market. Throughout this time, she had the opportunity to collaborate with destinations, resort properties, DMCs, airlines, tour operators, and government agencies, among others. She successfully developed media relations with trade publications, travel editors and writers, and specialized media.

As a Board accredited Spanish/English interpreter I work with the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada and the Canada Border Services Agency. For the IRB I attend Detention Reviews, Admissibility Hearings, and Refugee Hearings for the IRB. I also provide my services to the Immigration Appeals Division during appeal procedures.In addition, I work on-call for the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) for an array of procedures such as interviews, over-the-phone interpretation for officers located at airports or ports of entry across Canada. My experience also includes Minister's Delegate procedures carried out by CBSA officers and refugee eligibility procedures by IRCC. IOften I am also required to translate documents for the agencies and divisions above mentioned. For four years I have assisted officers to research information about a country, organization or events in different Spanish speaking countries. Providing complete reports of my findings to assist their investigations. It is a work that requires concentration, attention to detail, the ability to effectively communicate with an array of clients from different regions and origins. I also work closely with officers, immigration consultants, and lawyers.
