CurrentVeronica has provided strategic communications, public relations, and marketing services for an array of clients across Canada, USA and Mexico. She has acquired public relations experience by working in agencies in the USA and Canada, including Burson-Marsteller, Weber Shandwick, Bluesky Strategy Group, Serena PR, Blueprint PR, Iconic Strategies, Newlink, and McMillan Group, among others.From crafting communications plans, executing media relations campaigns, preparing for and dealing with crisis, identifying brand exposure opportunities, coordinating events, or creating communication materials; she has built strong and enduring relations with her clients and colleagues for over 15 years.She is recently providing startegic public opinion and competitiveness research for two national accounts. Her findings will shape their national strategy to promote their products and programs. In the past, she has worked in an array of projects including media relations during Greyhound's gradual exit from the Canadian market, strategic communications during the wine import ban imposed to BC wines by Alberta government, or as a marketing manager for City of Vancouver’s Canada 150+ celebrations.Veronica has fifteen years of experience in the tourism industry promoting high-profile clients such as Mexico Tourism Board, Mazatlan, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Colima, Huatulco, Tourism Malaysia, and the Palace Hotels in Mazatlan. Veronica has worked directly with destination marketing offices of Mexico to increase their Canadian market share. From 2005 to 2010 she managed a public relations program for the Mexico Tourism Board in Canada, including one year as regional supervisor in this market. Throughout this time, she had the opportunity to collaborate with destinations, resort properties, DMCs, airlines, tour operators, and government agencies, among others. She successfully developed media relations with trade publications, travel editors and writers, and specialized media.
