• First assist in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries supporting group of nine surgeons• Routinely perform multi-layer complex closures, hemostasis, drain placement, dog ear excision,de-epithelialization, retraction, and wound vac application/changes.• Manage post-operative patients including patient education and wound care complications such asdehiscence, necrosis, infection, seroma, and hematoma.• Perform tissue expansions, drain removal, wound vac placement, debridement, aspiration, steroidinjection, and suture or staple removal in clinic.• Complete preoperative medical clearance: stratify patient risk based on current and past medicalhistory, consult with specialists and primary care providers as needed, order and review, diagnosticslabs, order and review appropriate medications, and determine patient readiness for surgery.• Generate weekly PA/NP first assist schedule for four APPs with nine surgeons.
