In this role at the Cottesloe Beach Hotel, I was responsible for the planning, preparation and delivery of functions and events across the hotel. From start to finish of each function at the hotel, I coordinated the operational side of the events and functions at the CBH, including liaising with internal departments including kitchens, housekeeping, marketing, the beverage team and maintenance teams to deliver quality and memorable experiences. The Courthouse Hotel is a new hotel based in Shoreditch. The hotel has 128 rooms, and 6 versatile event spaces. It caters for conferences to vintage fashion fairs and all in between. As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, I worked across events, the restaurant, room service and the bar, supervising and delegating staff to deliver experiences that exceeded expectations and left guests happy. I was involved in day to day ordering for the bar, as well as staffing, rostering, answering general enquiries and bookings over the phone and via email, as well as managing the front of house operations. I helped to streamline the policies and procedures in the Food and Beverage Department, through implementing new structures for the flow of service, training staff on customer service standards and grooming standards, and implementing strategies for managing reservations.

Hbf Stadium

Responsible for booking various functions and events between HBF Arena, HBF Stadium, Bendat Basketball Center and the West Australian Athletics Stadium. I liaise with potential and current clients to ensure their functions are planned and executed above and beyond their expectations. I am also responsible for all Swimming Carnival Catering at HBF Stadium and Arena, with over 100 Swimming Carnivals per season.

I had the opportunity to spend a month doing work experience at Cygnet Bay Pearls, in Western Australia. As a receptionist, I gained experience in CMS room booking systems, learnt how to arrange tours according to the weather patterns of the day and how to accommodate group tours into our company's offerings, and gained valuable understanding of front desk duties, including working beside other tour companies to ensure the experience of our guests and day visitors was the greatest it could be.

Casual event work, including set up of event areas, handing out event packs, signing participants into events, working during the event in areas including start and finish line attendants, and marshalling. I also help close the event down, and help out wherever necessary.

Handling cash and eftpos transactions as well as bar services at various events throughout the social year in Perth. Events included Evening on the Green concerts, the Perth Fringe Festival and Myer Rooftop Sessions.

Responsibilities included serving customers, recommending meal and wine combinations, working from an a la carte menu, responsible for covering sections of up to 10 tables, running food and drinks, cleaning, making juices, handling table payments (EFTPOS and cash) and using POS ordering systems.
