With over ten years of research experience, I have the necessary skills to accomplish my own research endeavor. I successfully completed a college-level research thesis in high school, and continued my research work into college by working in an archaeal genetics lab, participating in an ecology REU program, and completing my senior undergraduate research thesis studying cell signaling in nematodes. I recently obtained my Master's degree from the University of Delaware - School of Marine Science and Policy, where I studied the effects of a bacteria-produced algicide on non-target marine animal species. I then worked to analyze the effectiveness of certain teaching methods, and created a website to disseminate teaching materials. I am currently working at Battelle on a variety of Marine Biology projects, including being the marine Biology subject matter expert (SME) for Battelle's National Guard Bureau class. My long term goals are to work with animals, in science education and outreach, and/or conservation.
Listed skills include Leadership, Writing, Laboratory, Powerpoint, and 22 others.
