Advocating on behalf of children and adults living with autism, their caretakers, while bridging the educational gap between science and autism, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and Serbia. One of our first projects (and most significant to the date for the region) was organizing the South East European Conference on Autism, that was held in Belgrade in June 2022. During my tenure, I played a pivotal role in financial project management, overseeing tasks such as accounting month-end close and working on quarterly and year-end SEC filings to ensure precise and timely financial reporting. I maintained open lines of communication with executive management, actively contributed to company-wide finance and internal control policy development, and executed various management projects as needed and requested. Furthermore, I provided supervision and training to the staff, ensuring their professional development and adherence to organizational standards.

Leveraging my expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and process optimization, coupled with an understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance, I provided comprehensive and tailored accounting and finance solutions to clients in diverse industries. My focus was on enhancing their strategy, structure, and operations, benefiting clients from a wide array of sectors including real estate, manufacturing, banking, services, healthcare, entertainment, and more.

As the Internal Audit Manager, I oversaw and guided a dedicated team of internal audit professionals in conducting risk assessments, developing comprehensive audit plans spanning 27,000 hours, and defining audit scopes. My role extended to executing audits across 90+ locations both in the USA and internationally, within a dynamic Fortune 500 company known for its strategic acquisitions.

I held diverse roles within the hospital system, ranging from developing internal controls evaluation programs and leading audit engagements to coordinating annual operating budgets and monthly flexible budgets for all business units. Additionally, I supported the hospital leadership team by identifying strategic business resources and profit drivers within each service line, contributing to the growth of margins.

As an auditor, I had the privilege of leading and conducting external audits for clients spanning diverse industries and business sectors. I mentored and supervised new audit associates, ensuring their growth and development in the field. Additionally, I played a pivotal role in bridging effective communication channels, relaying auditing and accounting insights to partners, managers, and clients, fostering a collaborative and informed audit environment.
