As the CEO of Berry Law, I lead my team with a “warrior ethos”—the will, drive, and courage to defend the rights of Americans and Veterans. As a Veteran, I believe it's my duty to continue the battle for our liberties at home by upholding the constitutional rights of every American and championing Veterans’ rights nationwide. My father, John S. Berry Sr., a Vietnam Veteran, began this firm over 50 years ago to defend the liberties of Americans. For seven consecutive years, Berry Law made the INC 5000 list of fastest growing companies in America. My 20-year military career in the US Army and National Guard forged in me the resilience, diligence, tactical skills, and boldness I need to lead as a lawyer and business owner. I served as a platoon leader in Bosnia during Operation Join Forge and a company commander in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom; I retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. I’m honored to have been inducted into the Nebraska National Guard Regional Training Institute Hall of Fame. The leadership skills I learned from service are indispensable to me now as an attorney. I’m a proud College of William & Mary alum. I have my J.D. cum laude from Creighton University School of Law and have had advanced legal training from the National Criminal Defense College and the Gerry Spece Trial Lawyers College. My team has secured over $350 million in backpay awards for Veterans. We’ve been honored with the HIRE Vets Platinum Medallion and the Pro Patria Award for our commitment to Veteran employment and advocacy.
