My construction background is in restoration of historic properties and residential homes thought the Albuquerque area with an aptitude of woodwork, remodeling, and commercial painting. These skills had led me to a career in the hospitality industry. I started in Convention Services, later becoming Commercial Lead Painter at Downtown Hyatt Regency (now The Clyde). Within a year working as the painter’s assistant, I was given the Lead Painter role due to my attention to detail and administrative work in keeping up with inventory management, planning projects, as well as, assisted other department within the hotel to give our guest the best experience possible. Due to the size of the building, I also worked closely with the Preventative Maintenance team with tile, bathroom repairs, refinishing furniture, electrical, and plumbing issues.During 2020, I was furlough briefly, but brought back to work within a few months on facilities improvement project in Taos for El Monte Sagrado property. After the project was completed, I took the position of Facilities Technician at Hotel Chaco. I worked swing shift including weekends. I had to manage call outs for any maintenance issues in guest room and rooftop restaurant (able to repair restaurant equipment), preventative maintenance, security, and closing. Due to being short staffed I was sometimes in charge of 3 different properties: Hotel Chaco, Sawmill, and Hotel ABQ at Old Town.After 2 years as Facilities Technician, I undertook a career change to become a Field Technician for Hulcher Resources Inc., Division 018. I was promoted to Level 2 within 6 months of my employment with HRI. My current responsibilities as a constructor to BNSF includes maintaining major fuel systems/equipment, environmental hazardous waste clean ups, and facilities maintenance for all New Mexico BNSF properties. Addition skills: emergency response to derailments, heavy equipment operator, forklift driver, hazardous waste disposal (HAZWOPER certified), basic IT skills, and photographer. As a Contractor for BNSF, I uphold all safety standards, as well as, working to improve the betterment of all equipment and facilities I’m asked to maintain. However, I'm always looking for new opportunities.Graduated from UNM with a BA in Strategic Communication.
