I am creating local strategies for Cookpad (Cookpad is an online community platform that enables people to share recipe ideas and cooking tips) to open new markets in the region from scratch, opening offices, setting up teams, also managing the whole operation in CEE region.It’s a global platform used by on average around 100 million people monthly in almost 70 countries across the world. Currently managing CEE and Vietnamese business with full P&L responsibility.Main responsibilities:- Budget owner for three countries.- Open, managing and growing the service in CEE region + Vietnam.- Find talents and build up local teams in CEE countries + Vietnam.- Defining and execute financial plans based on strategic initiatives.- Design and execution of the local communications.- Working together with the global product team to support the product development.- Taking part in design sprints around the world also hosting in Budapest with our international team.

It was a super challenging time to merge a successful, existing, local brand into a new, unknown, global brand. To build up the new communication channels to reach out the users and win them to the new product again. Build up new organization locally and adopt the culture of Cookpad global.

This was my first startup. From zero financial resource and knowledge we built up the second biggest recipe platform in Hungary. We were the strongest innovator of the recipe platforms in Hungary. We were the first on our market who invested a lot into the mobile app development for Android and iOS. We designed the step by step photo structure for online recipes and introduced many features and innovations like these. I become addicted to product development at this project. After the strong interest of some Hungarian online publishers to purchase us, finally in 2016, 9 years after the start of ApróSéf, Cookpad Japan purchased my startup. This is the world largest recipe platform. We merged the whole old product and team into Cookpad. After the transaction I built up a local team, made the Cookpad brand popular in Hungary. Finally Cookpad Hungary turned into the largest Hungarian recipe platform in 4 years from the transaction.

Next to my existing starup and my economist studies I spent a nice time at METRO as online marketing trainee to get experiences about the online communication management of a multinational company.

I had my own column as a culinary journalist. I could learn here how to deliver on the best way my message via the written language.

During this 10 years I was working mostly at Ruszwurm but I left it a few times for years to learn more from more chefs. I am sharing just Ruszwurm here since that was the longest, most important and recurring workplace of this period of my life.
