Kordia is the major provider of telecommunication, broadcasting and private network spaces both in New Zealand and in the Asia Pacific region.As Finance Assistant for Kordia Solutions New Zealand, I was the first port of call for finance support. My responsibilities included: processing day to day financial transactions and weekly timesheets; reconciling corporate purchase cards; undertaking month end costing and reporting for all projects; maintaining the general ledger and fixed asset registers; preparing profit and loss statements; monitoring and reporting project WIP; and recommending process improvements. My main achievement from this role was taking on significant additional duties over a six week period while the Head of Finance was on leave.
