US Onshore Operations, Geologist Promoted to Development Geologist in 2013 •In charge of multiple leases over Karnes, McMullen and Atascosa Counties, Texas totaling upwards of 60,000 acres in the Eagle Ford Shale. •Planned out over 200 wells for each individual lease on both 350’and 500’spacing. •Worked on deals for salt water disposal wells, lease agreements with competitors, H2S and CO2 issues, pipeline and facilities placement.•Tested azimuthal changes in well production, then expanded testing to completion styles and targeting zones for production. After this initial testing, wells produced more than twice the liquids production of their previous counterparts. •Other assignments included working on a deal to help sell off a portion of Murphy’s onshore assets in Louisiana, determined where to P&A wells, re-frac options and drilling cost issues.US Onshore Operations, Operations Geologist 2012-2013•Geologist in charge of managing drilling of over 100 wells in the Eagle Ford Shale, Austin Chalk and Buda. Operations duties included:Decisions on drilling locations, geosteering and production zones. Drilled wells with multiple faulted zones, dip changes and other structural complexity.Interpreted logs and petrophysical data on active wells.Proposed and drilled pilot holes and test wells.Regularly managed 3 active drilling rigs, sometimes up to 4.Involved in active drilling operations 24 X 7Worked closely with drilling team made up of Murphy Company Men, Landmen, Completions Engineers, Drilling Engineers, Reservoir Engineers, and Production Teams; and with Contractors (mudloggers and geosteering consultants).

Taught undergraduate laboratory sections in Physical Geology, and Introduction to Earth Science. Assisted with Sedimentary Petrology and Graduate Thesis Preparation classes.Assisted professors with grading of tests, proctoring and substitute teaching.

On-the-job training processing seismic data, including experience with Omega2 and Petrel software, first break picking, velocity analysis, and selecting grids for files used to create statics maps for client leases in Alaska and offshore Louisiana.

Assisted with in depth study of the subsurface structure and stratigraphy of the Perry Point Field, located in the Lafayette and Vermillion Parishes, Louisiana.Study work included recommendations about future plays and production.
