I am from Aotearoa New Zealand, but currently in the UK. I am a researcher and science communicator specialising in dietary and pro-environmental behaviour change, social research, and applied behavioural interventions. I fuse environmental science, psychology, empathy, and creativity to change attitudes and behaviours for improved human, animal, and planetary wellbeing. I am passionate about dietary transitions away from meat-centric systems.I am currently a PhD researcher funded by the Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures and the University of Sheffield, UK. My research explores the role of social norms in shaping more sustainable food choices. I was shortlisted for a national PhD Student of the Year award in 2022, and have published several papers related to pro-environmental behaviours and food ethics. My other research interests include environmental worldviews, environmental communication, and human-animal relations.I am also involved in several additional projects including: 1) assessing the readiness of health organisations to adopt sustainable diet policy, with the Faculty of Public Health UK and Eating Better2) incorporating behavioural responsive regulation models into a burner alert system to reduce air pollution, a joint collaboration with the University of Nottingham.
