IDZ is a startup that creates solutions for secure data storage with end-to-end encryption and zero-knowledge environment. It offers apps for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows, as well as a smart wearable device designed and developed in-house.- Reorganised test strategy and plan to enable faster development in the startup environment without compromising quality. This included changes to git flow, JIRA flow, restructure and stabilization of test environments, introduction of regression plans, improvements for test documentation, adjustments of team structure and contributor’s responsibilities.- We successfully released our in-house designed and developed iOS, Android and macOS apps, with ongoing progress on the Windows platform. Additionally, we introduced a hardware product - a wearable device with embedded firmware.- Detected and managed to resolve critical architectural issues with backend services.- Actively engaged in product and project management, consistently contributing fresh ideas, reviewing and identifying issues with current plans.- Coached and managed the QA team.- Led the hiring process for new QA team members and identified several qualified candidates.- Developed and supported automation tests for iOS and Android (webdriver.io, Appium, TypeScript).- Conducted manual testing of iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, backend and firmware on a daily basis addressing needs of 4 backend, 5 client, 1 frontend and 2 firmware developers.

- Joined the startup since the very beginning as the only QA in the company with 2 applications for both iOS and Android platforms (5 iOS, 5 Android and 6 server-side developers): - Mobile, server-side, back office, WEB and mobile WEB testing - Managed weekly mobile client (iOS plus Android) and daily server-side release cycles - Functional auto-tests for iOS, Android - Hiring, mentoring QA engineers - Set up of JIRA projects, dashboards, flows - Maintaining CI for mobile projects (Team City) - QA/Dev processes- Successfully launched a new audio-streaming related app to the market (iOS, Android), including organisation of outsource pre-launch testing

- Took responsibility for managing cross-platform QA team. The main focus of the team was building new mobile applications: Huggle, Chappy and one more. It was 2 brands in parallel at all times, 4 weekly releases (iOS, Android)- Successfully launched the new Chappy app for iOS and Android- Launched functional test automation for Chappy (iOS, Android). Started project from scratch and lead it as one of the main contributors (Calabash, Ruby, Cucumber). As a result, the functional tests suite reached 100 tests scenarios in 2 months, while still supporting the weekly release cycle- Regular manual regression, exploratory and new feature testing

- Managed Windows Phone QA team:- Mentoring, motivating, working on long term growth of QA engineers- Launched and managed functional automation testing for Badoo app- Managed manual testing of 3 applications (Badoo, HoN, Huggle)- Continuous improvement of QA processes, test documentation, evolved regression testing. As well as performing regular manual regression, exploratory and new feature testing- Successfully re-designed Badoo on Windows Phone (affected the whole app)- Successfully launched the new Huggle app on Windows Phone- Wrote an article and performed talks regarding ‘Windows Phone as an Experimental Platform’

- Took responsibility of leading QA in Windows Phone team- Successfully launched ‘Hot or Not’ and Badoo apps for Windows Phone- Participated in hiring QA engineers for my team- Mentored QA engineers- Pioneering A/B tests development flow in Badoo (Bumble). Windows Phone became an experimental platform, I managed to switch QA, QA/Dev processes to a weekly release cycle with 1-week feature implementation time (1 week from idea to production). Speed of work was comparable to startups while keeping up the quality- Regular manual regression, exploratory and new feature testing

- Joined the company as a WEB QA Engineer, but quickly was assigned to also test:- Windows Phone, iOS and Android native apps- Mobile WEB (HTML5/ WAP)- Server-side (for mobile and WEB)- Back office- Wrote a shell script to automate testing of email deep links which helped all the mobile QA teams to speed up regression and release testing (Bash)- Wrote functional automated tests for WEB (Selenium)
