My role is to provide support for the callers and underwriter. I work in a small team in a busy environment and I am responsible for rating businesses, getting the initial price of the quote for the callers. I communicate with them regularly to make amendments to the documents, ensure all the client’s details are correct and up to date for the underwriter to clear. My other task includes updating the database, sending documents out, taking payments and to make a final check before they go on cover and archived away. I managed to do this within a tight time constraint to ensure all documents are sent out on time, and accurate payment to keep the office running smoothly.

I undertook a wide variety of office duties, reporting to senior staff. I took ad hoc orders and arrange priority deliveries in the mornings. I also dealt with telephone enquiries, complaints, customers in person, and all mail both paper-based or electronic for all departments and covered reception.Key responsibilities: • Covering reception and responding to sales enquires, both telephone and in-person• Taking the stock database• Assisting in the delivery• Answering to complaints and dealing with difficult customers• Redirecting important emails to the manager
