Hello, my name is Viani Hernandez. My name is a combination of my mother's and father's names, Aniceta and Victor. Together, their names give my name the meaning of "very beautiful conqueror." This meaning represents my goal in life quite well as I plan to conquer my dreams of becoming an Accountant. I have always had a passion for math for as long as I can remember, which has fueled my interest in the Business industry. Communication and networking are massive in the business industry when trying to make professional connections. I like to describe myself as an ambivert which means I am both introverted and extroverted. One might think that I am shy and introverted. However, many of my friends would argue that I am pretty extroverted. Adjusting to different situations keeps me socially aware of my surroundings. One's social awareness in the Business industry is key to success. I am majoring in accounting to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Throughout these next four years at The University of Texas at Dallas, I want to focus on improving my communication, auditing, and, most importantly, my knowledge of the Business world. Although my job experience in the past has not been directly related to my future career as an Accountant, I plan to transfer the life skills I have developed working in retail into my future career. With my communication and Spanish-speaking skills, my goal is to mainly serve my Hispanic community and help people in low-income areas become financially literate.
