CurrentMy time working in the retail industry has helped my communication skills improve. With customers wanting to be in and out of the store and satisfied with their purchase, I quickly learned how to express myself properly and be a good listener. In order to assist customers in finding what they were looking for, I had to ask questions and suggest items I thought would be a good fit for what they had in mind. In addition to being able to express myself well, I also had to listen to customers' feedback. For example, if they didn't like what I suggested, I had to make note of what made them dislike the item and find something else they might like instead. Being a good listener and expressing myself properly, made the customer have good shopping experience and feel heard.
