About Vibha Tara

I design solutions, using systems thinking approach. The solutions range from strategy planning, visioning, action planning, project design, Behavior Change Communication, Systems improvement for good governance and capacity development for Life skills and social-emotional learning. My facilitation is from within the system/oragnization, by tapping the whole person and collective intelligence of teams/groups. My Holistic Wellbeing workshops are anchored in contemplative practices, mindfulness and the whole person concept. Specialties: OD, Facilitating stakeholder consultations.All my affiliations converge and have common denominator of functioning as an enabler through inner, inter-personal, consciouness and whole systems transformation.Experience & Expertise: An international Holistic Facilitator, global Gratitude Champion, Project Strategy and Review Expert and Life Skills Educator. She worked in social development for more than 15 years in the areas of public health and education, with United Nations Population Fund, SIFPSA, Population Services International, Johns Hopkins University and Room to Read. Her core areas of work are leadership, project design, capacity building, behaviour change communication and process documentation. In addition to working in India, she has undertaken assignments in Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Afghanistan, UK, USA and Netherlands. Since 2010, she transitioned from her leadership job position to the role of a OD Consultant and Holistic Facilitator. Her expertise is based on the following programs – the Genuine Contact Program, Cognitively Based Compassion Training (Emory Univ.), the Philanthropic Quest, the CircleWork, Science of Meaningful Life (Berkeley Univ.) and Vipasana. Values and Purpose: Vibha leads with the values of Integrity and Compassion. She is pursuing her life’s twin purpose: A) Spreading the joy of gratitude to promote human and planet’s well-being. B) Offering life-nurturing methods of facilitation for individual and organizational health & balance. Vibha offers her services through her NGO Muskaan and as an independent Consultant.

    A lot of the work in social development sector is for capacity building through trainings, workshops, consultations and conferences. The key objective of these is to transfer knowledge, build skills, change attitudes, generate new ideas or to build consensus.However, these programs are usually conducted in such a manner that all the knowledge and experience present in the room cannot be fully tapped. Often, the set-up is such that only extroverts end up speaking; the method is such that participants feel disengaged; the schedule leaves no time for reflection; trainer’s behaviour makes participants feel judged or excluded. As a result, trainings become boring and frustrating for many participants, hampering optimal learning and often outcomes generated are not translated into actions. Our work is to create space, hold it in life nurturing ways of optimal learning and tap wisdom of the participants using holistic processes and tools. Commonly identified as Facilitators, our primary domains of work are organization development, project design, visioning, capacity building, strategic planning, project review & revision. Our holistic facilitation engages the mind, body, emotions and spirits of participants. Processes & tools create conditions to connect with self & with one-another at a deeper level & find solutions by tapping collective wisdom & the whole brain. Most of our work is done through workshops, which are life-nurturing spaces for participants to discuss agenda in an efficient manner, resulting not only in better grasping of content taught but also inspiration for actions & improved efficiency as a team.Our work is anchored in Whole Systems Thinking, the Whole Person Concept, Neuro-science & Ancient Wisdoms
