I have a Ph.D. in Development Studies from the University of KwaZulu Natal South Africa, with my thesis having being published as a book (see link). I have been working on gender, HIV and AIDS, sexual and reproductive rights and violence against women for the past 30 years - in Southern Africa and more recently in South East Asia. I have over 15 years of experience as a consultant. Clients include UNAIDS, UNDP, OXFAM Novib, AusAid, ICW Global, ICW Southern Africa, Department of Health, South Africa, Seven Sisters, AusAid, ICW Asia Pacific, HelpAge Asia, Biowatch and Greenpeace South East Asia. I am a photographer and use my work to raise important socio-political issues.
