I support social and environmental entrepreneurship through access to capital, knowledge, and networks of connections and markets - along with projects involving ecosystemic solutions to complex socio-environmental problems.I am an administrator and accountant, with an MBA from Hult International Business School (Boston and Shanghai) and various specializations in finance and investments. I work in the social entrepreneurship and impact investing fields, also as a professor, speaker, and member of boards in this sector.With over 20 years of professional experience, I have worked in an own-family business, and large corporations such as Johnson & Johnson. After studying the concept of social businesses in 2011 during my master’s degree in the U.S., I decided to transition my career to the impact field.I have been with Yunus Social Business for over 10 years - a global organization co-founded by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Prof Muhammad Yunus, focused on social enterprises that deliver social and environmental impact for the bottom of the pyramid - where I have held various roles in investment and business development, including the creation of our local investment fund (FIDC), handling internal investment processes such as asset origination, due diligence, participation in committees, portfolio management, and development of our thesis of financial and non-financial support for social entrepreneurs.More recently, we transformed our investment vehicle into Blended Finance by combining catalytic capital with returnable investments, and started developing impact programs with the logic of Impact Investing as a Service, alongside foundations, institutes, impact investors, and ecosystem partners, such as Zunne, a program for investing in social entrepreneurship in the North and Northeast regions, focused on women, black and indigenous-led businesses. My objective in this platform is to connect with people and organizations that want to move forward this agenda and make the impact investing industry more relevant and scalable, without losing its relevance and additionality for the most disadvantaged and vulnerable communities.
