Throughout my Biomedical Science Degree I aim to develop my interest towards the neuroscience branch of biomedicine. Having conducted a month-long research placement with Nuffield Health, working with Masters and PhD students, presenting the results of our approach to a Glaucoma treatment to the group, and since working in the BLS labs for my First Year in Biomedicine at Lancaster, I have been able to show my engagement and development with laboratory and research-based skills. My Extended Project Qualification on the subject of Alzheimers, intrigued me both into the world of Neuroscience and the potential for Medical Journalism. I wish to continue exploring these avenues, as well as my own self-development as an Undergraduate, future Masters student, and hence researcher or writer amongst the Medical and Pharmaceutical world.
