The experience Vickesh has gained within the financial services, government, mining and telecommunications industries has enabled him to have a unique cross industry view as well as build in depth skills in certain areas of these industries. In his role at IBM Vickesh is actively involved in driving the Digital Transformation agenda within organizations. Beyond merely providing thought leadership on Digital Transformation he is now working on building a Digital Platform for specific industries the initial one being mining. In his previous roles he has also defined the go-to-market strategy and execution thereof with independent services vendors, network equipment providers and business partners to driving digital transformation, Machine-to-Machine and public cloud initiatives within the Middle East and Africa region.Vickesh was also responsible for driving an alliance between IBM and Ericsson, as well as IBM and Genesys within the Middle East and Africa region.Vickesh's ability to analyse new and emerging trends and define frameworks which provide an end-to-end and holistic view stems back from 2007 when he defined such a framework for Business Process Management, then again for cloud in 2011 and 2012 for Machine-to-Machine as well as writing one of the first whitepapers on Digital Transformation in 2013 which indicates the building blocks that organisations irrespective of industry will require to evolve to a digital organisation.While at IBM Vickesh has worked in New York, Nigeria, Kenya, Dubai, Pakistan and South Africa.Vickesh has presented at numerous conferences as well as published articles in online publications both locally and internationally.
