Managing the residential home in the absence of the manager, general administrative duties involving paperwork, filing & computer work, & assess potential residents to see whether we could offer the required level of care for that person, created care plans for each resident, created individual risk assessments, deal with any general complaints arising in the workplace, A large part of the role of deputy manager involved being able to do all jobs in the home including care, cooking & cleaning. One of the main aspects included supervising staff & ensuring they work to the highest standard possible along with giving out medication to service users. Monitoring stock levels of medicine, ordering the medicine, knowledge of the conditions that each resident had, evaluating care plans, working as part of a team, supporting service users with personal care, nutrition & activities of daily living.
