I am newer in the financial industry, but not new to investments and planning. I have managed my accounts for my entire career (besides a brief 1-year stint with Schwab while I was a head basketball coach). I was taught to take care of my finances and learned a lot while in Europe playing professional basketball and studying investments. I developed a passion for the industry after my father had passed away and my mother was left to handle our financial and life situation. My mother, unfortunately, was one of the many causalities that happen every day. She had left the finances to my father and once he passed, she had no idea what to do. She went to a "trusted" advisor and was sold on disappointing advice. This is all too often a common outcome. I then vowed to learn about the industry, handle my accounts, and eventually help others so they can feel confident that their BEST interest is at hand, not a commission. I joined CH Douglas and Gray this January after working for Fidelity. I am so excited not only to be surrounded by like-minded people but also true professionals at their craft. Our firm has been in Indianapolis for over 20 years and is led by Princeton, and Wharton business school graduate Chris Douglas. Tom Gray, another Princeton graduate is our other managing director.
