A First Gen Latina student who continues to trail-blaze her path with resiliency and determination.Soon after receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, I worked a variety of positions within the mental health field and educational settings, where my team members reflected back to me overarching themes surrounding my style and approach. Some of which included: calm energy in apprehensive situations, curious, strategic, innovative, compassionate, adaptable, and fair. Trauma has also been an area of study for me- focusing on work by Dr. Jennifer Mullan, Dr. Gabor Maté, as well as other professionals sharing their knowledge through the Trauma Research Foundation. I value community, health and wellness, uplifting and encouraging our young people, creativity, knowledge, and transparency. On my personal time I love spending time with my pup and listening to my mother's stories about Mexico. Creativity is magic and I tap into mine through fashion styling and writing poetry. I also love me a warm te de manzanilla for relaxation, and a good RomCom or soothing music.
