I am a freelance visual artist known as “BZTAT” (pronounced bee-zee-tat). I am an accomplished artist, teacher, mentor, curator, writer and speaker. I create contemporary art, focusing on custom pet portraits, murals, public art, and many other artworks for sale and commission. I also perform an array of creative services. I contract with Art Possible Ohio and other organizations as a Teaching Artist, providing arts instruction for children, adolescents and adults. I provide specialized instruction and mentoring with artists who have developmental and mental health disabilities through my Artist 2 Artist Collective at BZTAT Studios, LLC.Recently I have taken on site management of Canton Creator Space, a unique gallery and workplace for artists and creative entrepreneurs. In this role, I manage a coworking space for creative professionals and curate exhibitions in an integrated gallery space.I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree and a Master of Arts Degree in the visual arts from Marshall University in Huntington, WV and a Masters Degree in counseling from Marshall University.I worked as a child and family therapist from 1991 to 2011, but now work exclusively as an Artist, Arts Educator, writer and Creativity Expert.My artwork is signed "BZTAT" in homage to a feline companion of that name, who was an artistic inspiration to her for 19 years.BZTAT Studios is located in Canton Creator Space in Canton, OH.
