Assisted in the creation of HAUCDC to develop affordable housing in Southeast Texas. Provide grant writing, management, proposal writing and program evaluation for government and nonprofits. Focus area is affordable housing, community policing and other low-income programs. Responsible for writing and managing grant awards received from financial institutions, private sector, State of Texas Criminal Justice Department, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Congressional Selected awards and Texas Veterans Commission. Programs include, Terrorism Prevention, Street Crime Gang Task Force, Sex Offender Prevention, Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing; and Fair Housing.

My responsibilities included creating collaborations and partnerships with government leaders and the community in the development of the City of Houston Consolidated Plan. Established relationships with the Regional U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Office in the management of Community Planning and Development (CPD) programs. Coordinated surveys and studies with local universities in the development of the Consolidated Plan and Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing for the City of Houston.
