As a Peer Support Specialist (Volunteer), I help consumers develop skills for coping with and managing psychiatric symptoms under the direct clinical supervision of a Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts (LPHA) and or medical team of social workers, psychiatrists and psychologists.Provide an opportunity for consumers to support each other in developing skills and strategies to progress in their recovery.As an Eye Clinic Assistant, I keep veteran outpaitents comfortable, assist in getting them check in, or empower them to use our check in appointments kiosk. In addition, I happily assist wherever I need to be for both the veterans or staff in the clinic.

-Client Consultations of Behavior, Fitness, Nutrition and Movement Assessments-Design Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely Goals along with clients-Created Unique Exercise Plans Designed Specifically with the Client SMART Goals in mind-Implemented the five components of fitness with each Client-Coach, Motivate, Education and Empower Clients to develop both their full ability and potentials-Create specialized wellness programs for members and guests (nutrition and physical)-Promoting and marketing wellness plans and programs-Traveled to promoted health and wellness fundraisers and membership growth-Develop, Facitlitate, Implement, Health and Wellness programs around Houston A-Lead group fitness classes(aerobics, cycling, dance cardio, etc.)
