I am a human resources manager who optimizes communications strategies, training, and media relations for large-scale organizations in healthcare and marketing industries.My HR and marketing career paths were not my initial plan. A recruiter contacted me about a marketing role, and it was a great opportunity with potential for growth. A while later, I discovered a recruiting and retention role with a healthcare company — providing my foot in the door. After a year, my manager resigned, and I replaced her as the HR manager. Through this transition, I never lost touch with my passion for communications.Recognized in the past as the “company loner,” I believe wholeheartedly that employee engagement and fluid communication are the hallmarks of company success. When employees see the connection between their value and company objectives, they are more likely to take ownership in achieving organizational goals. Helping my employees “get to the other side” of challenges, as Oprah would say, is where I excel. It is meaningful to resolve recruiting and employee retention issues, manage conflicts, and improve outcomes for my team. Raising a teen daughter humbled me enough to revisit challenges and adjust my strategies with a more modern approach versus an “old hat” philosophy. While working at The Shoppes at EastChase, I developed a teen development program. I am inspired to see success stories on social media, highlighting former participants who have earned scholarships, Ivy League acceptances, PhDs, law degrees, and nursing certifications. Many have started their own teen programs and continue community service to pay it forward.In my leadership, I am committed to driving efficient business operations through intuitive decision-making and long-term communication plans.
