The Schengen Peace Foundation, founded in 2007, has two initiatives, the World Peace Forum and the Luxembourg Peace Prize. We are a multi-disciplinary grassroots organisation, 100% volunteer, which connects peacemakers. In 2011, I first presented on the Obama Administration's goals to introduce more women into conflict resolution roles. Since then I have been an active presenter and supporter of the annual forum, including attending: the Romanian 2015 WPF where I presented on aspects of violence in North America; 2016 Florianopolis, Brazil, where I presented on aspects of Genetically Modified Organism (GMOs) Regulatory and Labeling issues across the world with a look at Brazil; and 2017 Amman, Jordan. In 2016 I was asked to be President of the Luxembourg Chapter and the Luxembourg Peace Prize. As President I have formed an Executive committee and added eight categories to the prize, including Youth, Process, Technology, Environment, Art, Inner Peace, Journalism and Sport. I have enhanced our nomination and jury process and secured our first financial gift for a prize category. In 2021 I was asked to join the board of the Schengen Peace Foundation, and in 2022 I joined the board and became President. As International Vice Chair and Head of the Communications Committee of Democrats Abroad• Set up a Best Practices working group to share our fundraising and membership building practices. • Developed metric based field plans for use by our 50+ country committees based on the Obama field plans. • Responsible for organizing international Annual General Meeting in Washington DC with participation from 50 countries in person and via WebEx.• Participated in all Association of State Democratic Chair (ASDC) and Democratic National Committee (DNC) meetings as a voting member and Super Delegate.• Developed 51 state specific expertise exchanges via social media across the 196 countries where we have members. I• Led a Washington DC Door Knocking session with 35 participants from around the world, visiting 28 Congressional offices in DC to speak on 8 different issues affecting Americans Abroad. • Brought on a social media cross platform team which increased Facebook reach to 2.5M views, Facebook likes by more than 15,000 in 5 weeks, and developed a Twitter following. • Increased our membership in the Get Out The Vote GOTV effort for the 2012 US Presidential and Congressional election by over 30%. • Due to gender balance rules I did not run for a second term.

Initially I was an elected Member at Large, responsible for press, where we made the opening page of our National Newspaper on May 6th with our Yes We Span photo. I had the honor to represent DA Luxembourg at the Regional Caucus in EMEA and was a delegate for Obama. Elected in 2009 as Chair of DA Luxembourg I had the honor to represent our members at regional and international DA meetings. Locally, we continued our press initiatives and started a Community Corner to organize around issues using the Organizing for America framework to support Health Care Reform amongst other things. When I was elected in 2011 to the International Executive Board of Democrats Abroad as their International Vice Chair, I stepped down from my roll as Chair of Democrats Abroad Luxembourg. I continue to stay involved as a member.

Represented Democrats Abroad on the DNC. Democrats Abroad come after Delaware in the roll call at the convention and represent Americans living outside of the USA. Attended all meetings over my two year elected term, participating in the Midwest Region and sitting on the DNC Rural Council. As a former superdelegate and alumni of Association of State Democratic Chairs, I continue to attend meetings and media presentations. Due to gender balance rules I did not run for a second term.

Assisted the US Ambassador to Luxembourg at the Residence in her first quarter. Whilst there we hosted 5 US Supreme Court Justices, US Fellowship Scholars, and US and European Lawyers.

Envisioned and set up an organically funded event centre in Luxembourg’s Moselle Wine Valley. Gained authorisation for hotel, restaurant, cultural and family events and practical experience in how to maintain and improve a 130 year old small chateau. Hosted business change seminars, product launches, art gallery, weddings, confirmations, and christenings. Exited via a long term rental on the property.

Responsible for market development of Luxembourg’s largest Business Continuity Centre growing the Centre to over 150 desks and installing the first dealing room in a commercial Business Continuity Centre. Exited via sale to Safetynet SA. To ensure revenue targets were met initiated joint marketing programs with Hewlett Packard and Compaq, and was responsible for marketing and press relations. Work was part time.

Brussels Area, Belgium

Part of the OSI team working at the Euroclear Operations Centre establishing a Project Support Office for the NEXT Project. NEXT was a major project to replace Euroclear’s end-of-day settlement by real time settlement services. I reviewed and improved the monthly consolidation procedure used for gathering status information from more than 50 Project plans with staff in excess of 250.After having my first child I did some marketing activities on a part time basis with OSI Group, a project management specialist consultancy group that was based in London and Brussels.

Set up the acceptance testing for an European-wide Point of Sale system for Shell Europe. Defined Acceptance Test strategy, trained a European team in how to identify test conditions and write test scenarios.

Planned and directed the Acceptance Testing and Implementation in Birmingham, UK. The UK system provides central control of inventory for Travelodges and referral bookings for Posthouses in the UK, Ireland and France. Over 200 Reservation Agents use the systems 24/7. Press called the UK cutover the smoothest in history of software.Managed the testing of Forte's greenfield Reservation Centre; This system is connected to Reservation Sales Offices around the world, 450 properties in North America, 1200 properties in Asia, and has airline links through The Hotels Industry Switching Company. I was brought into the project for turnaround.Planned and managed the User Testing and Parallel Running of the Central Accounting System for all branches of Forte Restaurants (KFC, Harvester, Little Chef, Happy Eater & Welcome Break). Responsible for the testing and planning of the conversion process of 6+ million transactions covering Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and bespoke reconciliation systems for online and batch processing. I was brought into the project for turnaround.

Responsible for the analysis, design, testing and implementation of a SEPON reconciliation system. The system included facilities to download mainframe reports, produce reconciliation logs and audit trails, as well as on-line maintenance and enquiry facilities to track securities and report on the performance of each registrar. All analysis and design work followed SSADM Stages 1 through 5, using the CASE tool Excelerator to support all SSADM steps. These deliverables were published in the Stock Exchange's SSADM User Guide.
