Writing a monthly column for brand new Lifestyle magazine, Celebrate:MK. Celebrate:MK is a positive, vibrant, free monthly multimedia lifestyle magazine that celebrates the successes of local people and businesses in Milton Keynes through engaging storytelling.Launched on December 1, 2016, in print, digital and online formats with a dynamic supporting social media presence, it is a multimedia magazine with a fresh, modern approach.My column initially started as a gig review, each month reflecting on a reviewing a local gig I attended. But this was then changed to a forward feature, where I interview the performer, organiser or promoter of an event taking place in the month of the magazine's publish date.

At Secklow, I hosted two shows.• Independent Theory (80s and 90s indie, alternative, rock and Britpop specialist show) - 7pm-10pm• Saturday tea time on Secklow (Playing hits from 60s to 00s) - 4pm-7pmFor this, I am responsible for:• Running a radio station studio, utilising the sound desk and accompanying broadcasting software (RCS Selector and Zetta)• Remote voicetracking• Devising and producing interesting content for links between the music and advertisements

Broadcasting at MKFM (on DAB, FM and online), in the main, I presented two shows:• The Evening Show (Monday - Thursday, 7pm - 9pm)• The Local Music Show (Sunday, 9pm - Midnight)In the past, I provided voice overs for adverts and have presented and co-presented on daytime programming as and when required (and able) and produced and presented news stories on an ad-hoc basis. Overall, at MKFM, I was responsible for:• Running a radio station studio, utilising the sound desk and accompanying broadcasting software (RCS Selector and Zetta)• Live presenting and voicetracking• Devising and producing interesting content for links between the music and advertisements• Working with contributors and booking guests for shows • Liaising with promoters, local businesses, PRs, artists and record companies• Outside broadcasting• Interviewing singers and artists at gigs and in the studio, as well as members of the public and non-musical guests• Conducting and recording live music sessions• Compering at live events• Voiceovers for adverts• Event photography• Crafting and reading news stories• Promoting local artists and events• Assisting with PR for the radio station• Controlling the social media activity for my show, interacting with listeners and artists• Previously managed a team of 7 contributors, offering guidance, coaching and providing them with on-air experience, as they assist with the content of my show • Editing and producing recordings, interviews and segments• Updating content on the MKFM website (Aiir).
