CurrentHarrison Publications' core service is the development and delivery of high-end publications, proposals, presentations, and marketing materials. My expertise integrates senior level skills in formatting, publishing, graphic design, writing, editing, and production. I've spent the last twenty years employed in the defense and engineering industries, where complex and demanding business proposals are often a prelude to complex and demanding end product deliverables. Not surprisingly, a first-rate proposal is frequently seen as an indicator of first rate performance. First impressions matter. When an RFP (Request for Proposal) comes in, I'm the team member tasked with making sure that the response is properly formatted and packaged. It starts with the nitty-gritty of compliance. I read the RFP requirements and build a template that meets all formatting specifications. I coordinate with the proposal manager and content experts, pulling in their information. I design covers, illustrations, graphic elements, and PowerPoint slides as needed. I develop charts from text and bare concepts. I troubleshoot and finesse documents across formats (pdf, Word, Excel, various image files). I edit, proof, and prepare the finished proposal for delivery which may include hard bound volumes, discs, and uploads.I pride myself on my ability to play well with others. To see and avoid bumps in the road ahead. To accommodate different styles and approaches to proposal development. In over 20 years, I have never missed a deadline. Because office machinery likes to stop working after hours, when a technician can't be found anywhere at any price, I have honed my mechanical and technical abilities. I have a successful record for troubleshooting and getting equipment up and running. And in the rare case that I can't, I find a workaround. I always have a plan B. Deadlines don't accept excuses.
