Staff Educator
CurrentRecruit, hire, orient STNAs (CNAs), LPNs(LVNs) and RNs for LTCF with 160 employees.Continually maintain state survey readiness through training and oversight.Continuously improving hiring and training procedures for STNA's and nurses to promote retention.Maintained STNA training program for 18 years in excellent standing with Ohio Dept. of Health.Continuous updates of orientation programs to ensure proper training for each job description.Interface with all department directors/managers to meet staff training needs.Ensure ongoing HIPPA compliance of entire community staff through training.Provide CPR training to nurses and other staff at 3 communities and Home Health Agency.Educate staff on behaviors and care concerns as they relate to dementia care.Train nurses and STNA’s on numerous computer programs.Collaborate with HR Department to complete pre employment testing on site.Provide support to other Nurse Managers in department by taking on call duties as needed.
