Dr Vicky Alner qualified in 1995 at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School. Her post-graduate training was predominantly in South West Thames region, during which time she obtained an MA in Medical Ethics and Law at King's College, London.Dr Alner was in post as Consultant Physician in Acute and Geriatric Medicine at Hereford Hospital, Wye Valley NHS Trust from 2005 until 2015. She was the clinical lead for the falls, orthogeriatric and osteoporosis services and also has had clinical operational management role since 2008 as Clinical Director for Medicine, then as Service Unit Director for Care Closer to Home and Urgent Care Service Units reporting operationally to the Chief Operating Officer and professionally to the Medical Director. In September 2013 Dr Alner was then appointed as the Associate Medical Director at Wye Valley Trust. In March 2015 Dr Alner relocated to Buckinghamshire and was appointed as Consultant Physician in Geriatric Medicine at Milton Keynes University Hospital and subsequently since September 2016 as Divisional Director for Medicine.
