A fabulous opportunity exposing me to the world of online travel.Initially responsible for 2 brands the business had historically purchased I was tasked with integrating them successfully into the Lastminute business and brand. This involved re-structuring all relevant departments, including new job roles, salary and commission levels, operational procedures, training and working with relevant departments and senior figures within the HR and Operations/C.S teams.After acheiving this and in line with new acquisitions within the business I was responsible for re-locating certain departments to home county locations as well as identifying individuals from within the existing and new businesses to take on senior roles.

This was an entirely new venture setting up a sister company to Canadian Affair. In our second year of operation we were recognised, through an award from the NZTB, with creating the only dedicated Honeymoon programme to Australia and New Zealand, sourcing and contracting individual & unique accommodations in each destination. This role involved all aspects of business i.e. marketing, contracting, negotiating, sales, recruitment, operations, customer service etc.

Working for Flightbookers, the retail arm, I was tasked with introducing new working practises for the entire sales force including incentives, training and working practises to help re-focus and increase sales for hotel partners inline with that of the flights.

Starting off as a consultant specialising in tailoring holidays to Australia, NZ, Asia, South Pacific and Round the World I grew with the company eventually leading my own team of consultants, ultimately becoming retail GM. When Thomson purchased the business I was tasked with moving to Manhattan and running our USA business, 10 USA branches and 1 Canadian, and streamlining practises with that of the UK. Throughout my time here I was fortunate that my role exposed me to various aspects of marketing, contracting, events management and presenting to large customer audiences, recruitment, training etc. Fantastic foundations and knowledge for running any future business.
