She is co-founder of Textbook Studio, a multi-disciplinary creative practice focused on design and art direction for Arts & Culture sector clients. They design books, exhibitions, identities, packaging + websites for artists, galleries, organisations, businesses + people.Vicky is an experienced, self-employed Graphic Designer & Educator based in Manchester, UK with over 10 years experience in both creative and academic practice. Her expertise is in the creative direction and production of both digital and printed graphic design work for arts & culture sector clients and independent businesses, such as Cloudwater Brew Co., The Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester Art Gallery, Castlefield Gallery, The Walker Art Gallery, In Certain Places and many more independent businesses, artists and clients.Her design work incorporates visual communication and design of such things as publications, catalogues, campaigns, packaging, websites, animation/video, social media assets and whatever else a project may require (the weirder, the better).Since 2011, Vicky has been teaching at various HE institutions and colleges across the UK alongside running her design business (Textbook Studio), while based in The Engine house – an exciting collaborative studio space at Islington Mill artists studios in Salford, shared with 10 other creatives of different disciplines.Most recently, Vicky has been partner in a long-term arts-based project, ‘Feed’ concerned with promoting inclusive, sustainable approaches to infant feeding and public space, through working with cultural venues, public health teams, artists and communities.
