As Fundraising Manager for The Parenting Network, I support the organisation to raise the necessary funds to deliver their much needed and highly respected support programme for families in Portsmouth (including Dadzclub, Young Mum’s Club, Families and the Portsmouth Baby Bank). In this role I am responsible for all funding applications, as well as monitoring & evaluation, reporting and maintaining contacts with partners and funders. As a Freelance Development & Projects Coordinator I assist arts and education charities with funding applications, evaluations and reporting. I also assist with all aspects of project coordination & administration. Coming from 12 years working for Aspex Visual Arts Trust in Portsmouth as Learning Programme Manager I have wide ranging experience in arts education. I coordinated and delivered a varied programme working with children, young people, adults and community groups. I am particularly proud to have developed the Generate programme for people with dementia and their carers which has been running since 2015. Other highlights include the Aiming High programme for children with SEND, working with the RAS community & City of Sanctuary in Portsmouth and the development of the popular Family Saturdays programme. In this role I have developed key skills and interests in fundraising and have experience of Trusts & Foundations, Arts Council funding and other sources of government funding such as National Lottery. I also have many years experience in European funding from managing our involvement in Interreg programmes. I have BA Hons (1st class) Photography and other qualifications include an Open University certification in Winning Resources & Support. I have two young children, and now undertake Freelance work flexibly around their care. I have a passion for travel and culture and have previously studied at Shandong University in Jinan, China and have undertaken voluntary work in both Thailand and Vietnam.
