My husband and I just celebrated our "50th" Wedding Anniversary by taking a transatlantic cruise to Portugal and Spain. His corporate position brought us to Georgia in 1990 and he continued to work for the same company for 42 years. We have one son, Chad, who lives here in Cumming, GA. We have been members of the First Redeemer Church in Cumming, GA since 2005 where we were team leaders for The There's Hope Center for 8 years.My husband and I have traveled extensively to the Holy Land in Israel, on the Footsteps of Paul in Greece, Turkey and Italy. My husband teaches a Men's morning bible study called, "The Men of Integrity" and we also lead a bible fellowship class called "The Truth Seekers" at First Redeemer Church. I have served in the past on the Board of the United Way of Forsyth County and as an officer. I have served the South Forsyth Rotary Club as a member and an officer. I worked for the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce for 10 years so I had the opportunity to get to know this community. When I retired from the Chamber, I was asked to revive the defunct Leadership Forsyth community organization of which continues even now to be a launching pad for community service.I have been involved with non-profit organizations since 1991. When I was asked to join Whispering Hope in January, 2009, the doors were going to be closed. With some hard work and help from The Lord, we have re-birthed Whispering Hope into a Christ-Centered, Non-Judgmental, Compassionate, and Hopeful community organization. We deliver hope and grace to women facing an untimely pregnancy. We equip women to make life affirming choices and coach them through pregnancy and early parenting.Whispering Hope is committed to saving the lives of the unborn. When you see the number of babies born, the classes taught, the ultrasound images provided and the other activities carried out through the center, you can know that we are making a difference in the lives of many people.
