I represent my team in key project working groups to monitor, co-ordinate tasks required by my team and to ensure we play our part in successfully delivering business goals. In 2021 I supported the implementation of SAP on behalf of my team through each cutover. I also played a role in supporting the project team with the launch of our new Biggleswade depot which was fully operational by summer 2022. Currently I am the lead for my team supporting the delivery of a network wide Manhattan update rolling out to all our depots. In this role, I also plan and support the operation’s business continuity plans to protect the national network of depots maintain great service to stores, whenever needed at short notice. I work within a centralised team of planners. My main objective in this role requires knowledge of Paragon (a transport planning software tool), using this I have rescheduled and maintain live several depot transport plans throughout the network, with the aim of achieving high levels of customer service, through cost effective scheduling of fleet and driver resource. My main objective in this role requires knowledge of Paragon (a transport planning software tool), using this I have rescheduled and maintain live several depot transport plans throughout the network, with the aim of achieving high levels of customer service, through cost effective scheduling of fleet and driver resource. This requires at times the need for me to travel to other sites for periods of change and relies on my ability to communicate, negotiate and develop sound relationships with customers and the depot operations.Another part of my role is to help produce a weekly pick/trunk plan for the National Distribution Centre in Coventry, through the use of Microsoft excel and access databases I support the weekly and seasonal maintenance and development of the NDC trunk planning process. This task involves trunks to 11 other distribution centre’s nationally and covers all Co-operative stores in the network. The Transport Planning department takes ownership for the planning and production of all seasonal schedule changes for all product groups. This involves producing and agreeing schedules with the customers and the operation, and updating the relevant systems/areas to ensure they go to plan. My role, reporting directly to the National Planning Manager, included the responsibility for implementing and the set up of all day to day schedule and customer maintenance, in a time critical environment, serving over 3,000 retail units. Additionally my role involved direct support of the transport planning team, in major projects and seasonal planning. I was responsible for coordinating the Co-operative Groups continuous store re-fit programme, liaising with Area Operation Managers throughout the country to ensure a smooth re-launch of each store, within tight deadlines. Also I maintained the company’s store risk assessment database. Other tasks included investigating and auditing any customer, depot or management queries relating to the schedules.
