I completed several week-long internships with Gigwise and then stayed on in this role on Fridays to help cover new music. I was responsible for writing between three and ten news articles each shift. I also wrote features, reviews and interviews for the website and edited articles from other writers. I also helped to create the first Gigwise print magazine and assisted with subsequent issues.

Since October 2020, I have been contributing to Gigwise's online and print publications. I write album reviews covering a range of genres and I have interviewed artists like Taylor Momsen, Inhaler and Big Joanie. I also wrote the cover profile with Bob Vylan for Issue 3. I also explore trends in the music industry for in-depth features exploring topics like the pop-punk revival and the current concert ticket crisis

My role as Friday News Editor followed my internship with Gigwise. I was responsible for organising PR emails for New Music Friday emails and creating news articles for the website and for Gigwise's social media channels.

In this role I edited contributions from our wide pool of writers, specifically for the music section of The Edge Magazine. I also posted prompts to be taken up by these writers and worked alongside a team of editors to create print magazines.
