I act for developers, local authorities, central government, financial institutions, technology providers, retailers, manufacturers and education providers on a variety of everyday and complex projects. Along with experience preparing, negotiating and reviewing bespoke and standard form construction contracts (including JCT, NEC, IChemE, FIDIC, MF1 and LOGIC forms) I have a specialism dealing with EPC contracts for mechanical and process plant and renewable energy and district heating projects.Examples of experience include:• preparing, reviewing and negotiating EPC Contracts and associated ancillary documents for a number of energy from waste and biomass projects including several anaerobic digestion facilities, a steam autoclave facility, gas peaking plants, PPP projects, CHP systems, solar and wind schemes. • acting for funders including banks and on project finance transactions in the real estate finance and renewable energy sectors. • advising on the construction aspects of district heating schemes. • acting for central government, local authorities and education providers on day to day construction matters and large capital projects. • advising developers and contractors in relation to city centre commercial developments.• advising on residential schemes for promoters, house builders and registered providers, in particular with infrastructure requirements such as roads, rail halts and gas and electricity. • acting for manufacturers on the construction of new process plant along with plant conversions and DCS migration. • acting for retailers in relation to day to day developments such as refits and remodelling and on warehouse and store management systems using MF1 forms of contract.
