Born in the UK, Vicky Roberts has lived in South Africa since 2003, where she has built a life, and several small businesses. She fulfils many roles both personally and professionally with aplomb. Her first role as a mother of three boys has set Vicky in good stead to tackle any challenge thrown at her. Prior to 2003 Vicky spent several years travelling extensively around the globe, observing and absorbing a myriad of cultures and ways of life. Between 2007 and 2014 Vicky and her husband owned and managed a wine farm in McGregor, harvesting on average 250 tonnes of grapes a year. This is one of the many examples of Vicky's ability to take on new challenges, and make them work! In 2015 she moved back to Cape Town and started Silent Events, with her husband, and continues to be an active Director of the company. Vicky Roberts founded Vixen’s Delight, an online deli, in 2020 in Cape Town, South Africa, during an unprecedented worldwide lockdown.Having been one of the co-founders of Silent Events, it soon became apparent that the world as she knew it would never be the same: she went from disco diva to funky foody overnight.The metamorphosis was a natural one. Having travelled extensively, Vicky has always had a passion for food and the pleasures that it invokes. So, becoming a purveyor of fine foods was a natural transition.Vicky has always been a keen environmentalist, and so when the opportunity arose to join Beyond Bamboo, she stepped in without hesitation. Here, Vicky assists with the creative development of the business. She has also taken on the role of portfolio manager.
