Responsible for the core Private Sector Housing team, delivering proactive and reactive services to improve housing standards within the District. All aspects of housing-based environmental health interventions, including Housing Act 2004, administration of Civil Penalties, Public Health / Building Act / Prevention of Damage by Pests Act work.

All aspects of pro-active and re-active environmental health interventions with relation to Housing, including enforcement under the Housing Act 2004 using the HHSRS, management of the district's HMOs, Caravan Site licensing, Gypsy, Roma and Traveller interventions, administration of the Disabled Facilities and Renovation Grants for East Suffolk, actions.

All aspects of pro-active and re-active environmental health interventions with relation to Housing, including enforcement under the Housing Act 2004 using the HHSRS, management of the district's HMOs, Caravan Site licensing, Gypsy, Roma and Traveller interventions, administration of the Disabled Facilities and Renovation Grants for East Suffolk, actions.

All aspects of pro-active and re-active environmental health interventions with relation to Housing, including enforcement under the Housing Act 2004 using the HHSRS, administration of the Disabled Facilities Grants for Waveney, actions under the Prevention of Damage by Pests Act 1949, various other duties such as Empty Property interventions, drainage.

Validation and registration of all Planning applications received at the Council. Providing weekly lists of applications received, basic planning enquiries and development of a new database system implemented in 2009, provision of on-going system administration for the system.

Providing administrative support to the Housing, Environmental Health, Drainage and Coast Protection teams, as well as general reception duties and other back office tasks.
