I am an experienced employability professional and a level 7 qualified careers adviser with a genuine passion for empowering, coaching and mentoring others to reach their full potential.I have over 6 years’ experience of coaching a caseload of unemployed and employed Newcastle upon Tyne residents aged 18 and over to work towards and meet their career goals and overcome barriers to employment, whilst developing their employability and career management skills in a safe, person-centred and non-judgemental space. I do this on a 1:1 weekly or fortnightly basis via online communication platforms including Teams, Zoom, telephone and email.I also lead on collating, creating, editing and proofreading Newcastle City Council’s weekly employability ‘Work & Thrive Newsletter’ which has over 300 subscribers from the public, private and third sector. The newsletter highlights local opportunities for jobseekers, LMI, policy and funding opportunities. This partnership communication network was formerly ‘Futures Talk’ which was spearheaded by Newcastle Futures, and in May 2023, I revamped this into a newsletter format.
